Tracking Architecture Performance Engineer - Member of the Technical Staff

The Aerospace Corporation•El Segundo, CA
•Onsite

About The Position

The Aerospace Corporation’s Enterprise Effects Division integrates strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. Its Tracking Architecture and Performance Department conducts model-based analyses of tracking performance across architecture scenarios in nominal and contested operating environments. The department supports customers through concept development, engineering analysis, algorithm development, and evaluation of tracking performance for radar, electro-optical, infrared, electronic warfare, space domain awareness, and missile warning/missile tracking applications across single- and multi-intelligence architectures. Its mission focus includes missile defense, space domain awareness, and surveillance architectures. Its modeling, simulation, and analysis products include architecture evaluations, what-if analyses, and the development, tuning, and optimization of multi-sensor tracking algorithms. The Tracking Architecture Performance Engineer performs modeling and analysis of missile warning, missile tracking, and missile defense sensors and systems, as well as their broader system-of-systems architectures. The role uses in-house, custom, commercial, and government-provided modeling tools to evaluate sensor concepts, architectures, and algorithms; develops and implements tracking algorithms; improves modeling and simulation tools; and creates computer tools and simulations for interdisciplinary analysis and systems engineering trade assessments. This position is 100% onsite in El Segundo, California, or Colorado Springs, Colorado. The role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is required.
