About The Position

The San Francisco, California office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking an attorney to join its Toxic Tort & Environmental Practice. The role involves toxic tort, habitability, and environmental litigation. The firm represents clients in state, federal, and administrative hearings and trials, including Superfund multi-site litigation and coordinated Federal Multi-District Litigation. Its clients include generators, landowners, municipalities, site operators, individuals, partnerships, closely held corporations, Fortune 500 companies, foreign and domestic companies, governmental agencies, manufacturing and real estate development companies, and insurance carriers. The firm also represents clients as National Counsel in mass tort and products liability litigation. Candidates with substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in toxic tort and environmental law are encouraged to apply. The firm is also interested in developing attorneys with excellent skills in another litigation arena. The role is based in San Francisco, California, and is identified as hybrid.

Requirements

Admission to the California Bar is required.
Strong research and writing skills.
Five to fifteen years of experience in all phases of toxic tort, habitability, and environmental litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery.
Experience handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

Nice To Haves

Experience in toxic tort, habitability, and environmental law is preferred.
Substantive litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in toxic tort and environmental law; attorneys with excellent skills in another litigation arena are also encouraged to apply.
