About The Position

Tournament Officials assist with all phases of tournament operations at the Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from October 2025 through November 2026. The role supports youth baseball tournaments at a world-class facility and helps provide participants and guests with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Officials work with staff to uphold the Ripken name and brand, achieve objectives effectively and efficiently, and deliver professional, high-quality customer service.

Requirements

• Prior work experience in a customer service environment.
• Prior baseball experience, either playing or coaching.
• Outgoing, friendly personality and excellent communication skills.
• Strong initiative and high energy.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to problem-solve.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Passion for sports.
• Ability to regularly lift heavy items weighing 20 pounds or more.
• Ability to work in exposure to extreme heat or cold.
• Availability to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with the execution of youth baseball tournaments at the facility.
• Announce games, serve as a rules consultant, and provide customer service to guests at a designated field.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and provide extraordinary external and internal customer service.
• Absorb training and demonstrate initiative and drive to uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand.
• Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently and provide a positive experience for participants.
