About The Position

Skyhawks Sports is seeking a Tots Sports Coach to lead children aged 2-5 through age-appropriate, playful, skill-based sessions using their proven Tots curriculum. This role involves engaging with both children and parents, creating a safe and joyful environment, and setting up equipment. The coach will represent Skyhawks with pride and ensure families feel welcomed. The position emphasizes building confidence and bravery in young children through sports, rather than developing athletes.

Requirements

• Experience working with young children (parenting, teaching, childcare, preschool, etc.).
• Patience, playfulness, and a nurturing presence.
• Ability to connect with children who are having a meltdown.
• Reliability: show up, follow through, and be dependable.
• A desire for meaningful work.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Availability for evening classes and/or Saturday mornings between 9am–12pm.
• Willingness to travel to specified cities (Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Avimor, Star).

• Some sports background is a bonus, not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups of children ages 2–5 through age-appropriate, playful, skill-based sessions using Skyhawks' proven Tots curriculum.
• Warmly welcome and engage parents.
• Create an environment where even the shyest toddler feels safe enough to try something new.
• Communicate with warmth and confidence with parents before and after sessions.
• Set up equipment and keep sessions safe, organized, and full of fun.
• Represent Skyhawks with pride and help families feel like they found exactly the right place.
