About The Position

Skyhawks Sports is bringing high-energy, skill-building youth sports programs to the Treasure Valley and is looking for coaches and directors who love sports, love working with kids, and want to make a real impact in their community. Our programs are designed for beginner to intermediate athletes, allowing coaches to focus on the kids. This is an opportunity to be a memorable figure in a child's fall season. We offer two roles: Coach, who leads young athletes through skill-based activities, and Director, who helps run the program by leading coaches, communicating with families, and managing logistics. All coaches and directors must complete training. We provide the curriculum, equipment, training, and support, but we value energy, reliability, and the ability to connect with kids.

Requirements

Energy, reliability, and a genuine love for working with kids are non-negotiable.
Must be able to complete required online and field training.
Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Experience working with children or coaching youth sports is preferred.
Comfortable leading a group and being loud, enthusiastic, and a little goofy.
Ability to read a group of kids and adjust when something isn't working.
Rock-solid reliability.
Genuinely love sports and enjoy passing that passion to the next generation.
Someone parents can trust with their kids.

Nice To Haves

A sports background is helpful.
Leadership, communication, reliability, and experience working with kids are especially valuable in this role.

Lead and energize groups of kids through age-appropriate sports activities.
Teach fundamental skills in a fun, encouraging environment.
Build genuine relationships with kids who look forward to seeing you each week.
Communicate warmly and confidently with parents and families.
Set up equipment and keep your program organized.
Follow Skyhawks curriculum while adapting to the needs of your group.
Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for every athlete.
Keep energy high and make sure kids leave each session excited to come back.
Directors: Lead coaches, manage your program, communicate with families, and make sure the entire experience runs smoothly.
