About The Position
The Learning Experience – Newark is seeking a caring and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our toddlers are busy developing language, independence, confidence, and friendships. We’re looking for a qualified teacher who can create a nurturing, structured classroom while turning children’s natural curiosity into meaningful learning experiences.
Requirements
- TECE 1 and TECE 2 required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must meet applicable Delaware childcare licensing requirements
Nice To Haves
- Previous toddler, daycare, preschool, or childcare experience preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Patient, dependable, nurturing, and team-oriented
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing Toddler classroom
- Implement The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Support language, movement, independence, and social-emotional development
- Engage children through art, music, sensory play, and hands-on learning
- Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
- Maintain consistent routines and positive classroom guidance
- Observe children’s development and communicate with families
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Follow Delaware childcare licensing requirements
