About The Position

The Goddard School in Anderson Township is hiring a Toddler Teacher to care for and educate children ages 18–36 months. The teacher uses the Goddard Wonder of Learning curriculum to provide engaging activities that foster curiosity and learning, while building relationships with children and their parents and celebrating children’s milestones. The role includes daily parent communication at drop-off and pick-up and supervising a class of children in accordance with required teacher-to-child ratios in a safe, nurturing environment. Teachers work in a supportive, collaborative team and can take part in school-community events. The school provides teaching supplies and offers opportunities for professional growth, including support to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. The facility includes multiple campus buildings, four playgrounds, a gym, a stage, an outdoor classroom, a kitchen, and a faculty office. The school is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; no nights or weekends are required.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Dependable, positive, and able to work well with a team and without a lot of supervision.
Caring and enthusiastic about making an impact on young children’s lives.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with handling children.

Nice To Haves

Childcare or early childhood experience is a plus.
