Toddler Teacher
About The Position
The Toddler Assistant Teacher works with toddlers to foster curiosity, creativity, compassion, and a lifelong love of learning. The role involves building genuine relationships with each child and supporting their learning in areas such as language and literacy, science, and life skills. The teacher collaborates with a co-teacher to implement lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum and maintains a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions confidently. The position is Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., at Primrose School at Oregon Park. The school provides classroom materials, training, and support from its Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Build genuine relationships with each child.
- Support children's learning in language and literacy, science, life skills, and other areas.
- Collaborate with a co-teacher to implement lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® curriculum.
- Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions confidently.
- Adapt teaching to discover what works best for each child.
- Contribute to a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for children and team members.
