About The Position

Mac Haik Houston Chevy is hiring a Title Supervisor to process vehicle deals, verify costs for the accounting department, and handle the legal transfer of vehicle documents to the Department of Motor Vehicles. The position processes titles and registrations and verifies that deal documentation is complete. It also supports title, tax, license, lien payoff, warranty, and dealer-trade processes while maintaining accurate records and following company policies and safe work practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening.
• Authorization to work in the USA.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of dealership title experience preferred; the qualifications section also lists one year of automotive title experience as preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• DMS knowledge preferred, including CDK/ADP.

Responsibilities

• Verify data, complete state forms, disburse taxes and fees, and submit paperwork to the state.
• Process pre-owned vehicle title transfers to the DMV.
• Follow up on incoming titles, maintain a complete list of outstanding title work, and track missing titles.
• Maintain and reconcile schedules for tax, title, and license payables and lien payoffs.
• Identify internal control issues by reviewing policies and communicating concerns to the Controller.
• Process trade-in and floor-plan payoffs, pull contracts, and forward them to financial institutions.
• Verify Finance and Insurance (F&I) data against documents.
• Contact banks and customers regarding missing titles.
• Sign over titles for wholesalers who have paid in full.
• Back up the Dealer Trade clerk by billing dealer trades and preparing certificates of origin.
• Process vehicle warranties and extended service contracts.
• Adhere to a consistent and reliable work schedule.
• Demonstrate ethical business practices and integrity in interactions to uphold the Mac Haik Automotive Group brand.
• Perform duties and responsibilities safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
