About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Austin, part of the locally owned and family-operated Continental Automotive Group, is hiring a Tire Technician. The role installs, repairs, balances, rotates, and inspects tires, and ensures they are properly inflated and placed on vehicles. The position also involves customer service and basic computer use. Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have held a valid driver's license for at least one year and have a good driving record.
• At least six months of UTI student or technical-school training, or tire/shop experience.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Mount and balance tires.
• Repair tire leaks by patching or plugging when the tire is in repairable condition.
• Inspect tire wear patterns.
• Rotate tires.
• Ensure tires are correctly inflated and properly placed on each vehicle.
• Provide customer service.
• Use basic computer skills.
