About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of Austin is hiring a Tire Technician to install, repair, balance, rotate, and inspect tires, and ensure they are properly inflated and positioned on vehicles. The role includes customer service and basic computer use. The position is full-time, based in Austin, Texas, with a Tuesday-through-Saturday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 40 or more hours per week. Starting pay is $20.00 per flag hour, and the role includes a $300 boot allowance.

Requirements

• Must have held a valid driver's license for at least one year and have a good driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have six months of UTI student experience, technical schooling, or tire/shop experience.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Mount and balance tires.
• Repair leaks in tires by patching or plugging them when they are in repairable condition.
• Rotate and inspect tires, including checking wear patterns.
• Ensure tires are correctly inflated and properly positioned on vehicles.
• Provide customer service.
