Tire Technician Full Time $1000 Sign on Bonus!
About The Position
The Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role includes providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk, supporting safe and positive member experiences, and contributing to the club’s operating and service standards. Team members are expected to work collaboratively, act with honesty and integrity, follow club policies, and maintain a friendly, positive attitude. The position is based in a tire bay and involves continuous standing and movement on hard surfaces, exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions, and working around moving vehicles, machinery, and potentially loud equipment. The role may also involve occasional exposure to approved chemicals and cleaning agents.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.
Nice To Haves
- Prior tire installation experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Mount, dismount, rotate, and balance tires; install tires properly.
- Dispose of tires according to club requirements and fill propane tanks when certified and as needed.
- Keep the tire bay and waiting area clean and professional; merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes, and provide knowledgeable service at the tire desk.
- Coordinate with the Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
- Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
- Use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
- Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
- Follow safety, cleanliness, and club policies and procedures, and use tire bay equipment properly.
- Perform other assigned duties, including work in other departments as needed.
- Deliver service excellence, address member concerns, and help maintain a safe and positive environment.
- Work collaboratively to achieve club standards and goals; maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
