About The Position

This entry-level role operates various types of machinery in the tire-retreading process. Work includes documenting information on a computer, inspecting and handling materials and tires, moving products throughout the Production Center, and preparing products for shipment. The worker must follow quality and safety standards and perform work safely and conscientiously. Cross-training in various steps of the production process is available.

The role pays $21 per hour, with quarterly bonus pay. Day shift is Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.; swing shift is Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Trade experience is a plus.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Frequent lifting of up to 70 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
• Frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and reaching, with continuous standing and walking.
• Good computer, math, and measurement skills, including the ability to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Trade experience.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and mark or rework tires as needed.
• Operate tire-building machines, including ring-tread and truck machines.
• Envelop and rim tires.
• Buff tires.
• Load and unload pre-cure chambers.
• Document work using a computer, handle and move tires and materials through the Production Center, and prepare products for shipment.
• Perform work safely and conscientiously while meeting quality and safety standards.
