About The Position

UTA is seeking a Ticketing Assistant to join the Music and Comedy Touring teams in our Beverly Hills office. UTA’s Music and Comedy Touring teams deal with ticketing providers, venues, management companies, and concert promoters. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with box offices, various ticketing platforms, alongside the ability to interact confidently with agents, promoters, box offices, artists and managers. This person is well-versed in social media and has experience using social networking sites including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. A familiarity with marketing budgets, marketing plans, promotional proposals, and usage of social media tools is required as is the ability to interact with agents, promoters, record labels, artists and managers. You will be responsible for supporting the department by assisting on projects as well as focusing heavily on tour ticketing letters for UTA Music and Comedy Touring clients. You’ll also interact constantly with the Tour Marketers, Tour Marketing Coordinators, as well as UTA Music Agents to implement ticketing strategies to maximize sales for UTA Music and Comedy Touring clients.

Requirements

  • Previous assistant experience ideally within the entertainment industry
  • General understanding of current music industry and the nature of a talent agency
  • Decent knowledge of the leading ticketing platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to organizational skills
  • Highly proficient technical skills with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge and curiosity for key players throughout the entertainment industry
  • Understanding of UTA's Client Roster

Nice To Haves

  • Previous booking experience preferred, whether in a professional environment or on campus as a college booker
  • Well-versed in social media and has experience using social networking sites including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.
  • Familiarity with marketing budgets, marketing plans, promotional proposals, and usage of social media tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage phone, calendar, and research for meetings; schedule meetings and calls, internally and externally
  • Manage and maintain spreadsheets, and draft communications
  • Strong task management skills, used to proactively build processes that benefit the business
  • Liaise with internal staff at all levels and external clients & partners
  • Expense reports - prepare monthly reports for review & submit to accounting for approval
  • Track and review contracts, client calendars and payments through a series of detailed grids
  • Compile scaling, ticket prices, and hold information to draft ticketing letters for distribution to promoters
  • Coordination with managers, agents, and promoters to set up the announcement and on sale launch of a show/tour.
  • Regular interactions with promoters to collecting marketing plans, promotional materials, ticket links and ticket headers for review and approval by management
  • Creation of Marketing, Ticketing and Radio grids as well as other organizational tasks
  • Ability to go through websites, social media sites, and ticketing sites to ensure tours are announced and information/images are correct
