About The Position

The Ticketing Assistant supports the programming team for non-classical programs at venues like Hollywood Bowl, The Ford, and Walt Disney Concert Hall, primarily from May 1 to October 31. This non-regular, part-time role involves managing ticketing needs for shows throughout the summer season, with specific assignments to be determined among Ticketing Assistants. The position is tentatively from April 1 to October 31, with individual start dates set upon hiring. The assistant is responsible for fulfilling, tracking, and distributing department ticket needs and VIP parking requests for assigned concerts. This includes processing internal and external comp ticket orders for artists, agents, and record labels, coordinating with the box office on ticketing needs, releases, and holds. On event days, the assistant serves as an onsite contact for artist ticketing issues and last-minute requests, screens and resolves artist inquiries regarding credit card information, ticket distribution, pricing, and venue information. They also distribute ticket counts to various department heads and collaborate on event seating maps. Additionally, the role involves assisting the Program Manager with concert pre-sales and on-sales and participating in weekly or bi-weekly meetings to discuss show needs.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work on concerts as assigned from approximately April 1 – October 31
  • High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Experience working with high volume ticketing requests
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Professional; and ability to learn required business systems
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer service oriented in all industry and interoffice interactions
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays
  • Excellent oral and written communication and relationship building skills: ability to present information effectively and ability respond to questions and/or inquiries from co-workers, artist teams, VIP clients, etc

Responsibilities

  • Fulfillment, tracking, and distribution of department ticket needs and VIP parking requests to assigned concerts
  • Process internal orders, both comp and purchased, and facilitate external comp ticket orders for artists, agents and record labels
  • Coordinate any outstanding ticketing needs, releases, holds with box office
  • On event days, act as onsite contact and liaison for any artist ticketing issues or last-minute requests
  • Screening, reviewing and resolving artist inquiries in regard to credit card information, ticket distribution, pricing and general venue information
  • Distribute ticket counts to department heads, producers, agents, artist managers, etc.
  • Collaborate with other members of the ticketing staff on the creation of event seating maps
  • Assists Program Manager as needed with concert pre-sales and on-sales
  • Participate in weekly to bi-weekly meetings to discuss show needs
  • Other duties and projects as assigned
