Thrift Store Associate
About The Position
The Thrift Store Associate works in an Idaho Youth Ranch thrift store and contributes to the organization’s mission of nurturing hope, healing, and resilience in Idaho’s youth. The role supports Idaho Youth Ranch programs and services by selling donated items, with store profits funding those programs and helping make them accessible to youth in Idaho. The associate represents the Idaho Youth Ranch, serves customers, processes transactions, and handles donated merchandise. This position is 28 hours per week and is located in Idaho; candidates must live within a reasonable distance of the location.
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Must be within a reasonable distance of the Idaho location.
Responsibilities
- Represent the Idaho Youth Ranch.
- Operate cash registers and credit/check processing equipment.
- Sort, clean, price, and stock donated merchandise.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand carts, lift gates, and other loading or moving equipment.
- Provide strong customer service and aim to WOW customers.
