About The Position

The Galvanizing Lead is responsible for being a positive member of the leadership team and actively participating in the development of teammates within the company culture. Safety is a top priority, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards. This role involves monitoring and ensuring the proper flow of product through the galvanizing department, overseeing and training teammates on the line, and communicating production-related information to other departments. The Lead will establish and set the production pace, maintain efficiency, and ensure the quality of galvanized steel. Responsibilities also include filling in for other positions in the galvanizing department and for the Supervisor as needed.

Requirements

Competent with Microsoft Office software programs.
Minimum 6 months’ experience in steel manufacturing.
Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Nice To Haves

One year previous leadership experience.
Desire to pursue positions of increased responsibility.
Strongly prefer hot-dipped galvanizing experience.
