Third Shift Galvanizing Lead - Nucor Towers & Structures
About The Position
The Galvanizing Lead will be a positive member of the leadership team at NTSAL, actively participating in the development of teammates and fostering the company culture. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards. This role involves monitoring and ensuring the proper flow of product through the galvanizing department, overseeing and training teammates on the line, and communicating production-related information to other departments. The Lead is responsible for setting the production pace, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring the quality of galvanized steel. Responsibilities also include filling in for other positions within the department and for the Supervisor as needed.
Requirements
- Competent with Microsoft Office software programs.
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in steel manufacturing.
Nice To Haves
- One year previous leadership experience.
- Desire to pursue positions of increased responsibility.
- Strongly prefer hot-dipped galvanizing experience.
Responsibilities
