About The Position

The Thermal Analyst II is an onsite, early-career position in Raytheon’s Mechanical Analysis and Test Department in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The department supports structural and thermal design robustness across Raytheon products, providing engineering solutions from preliminary concepts through fielded-system support using classical and empirical methods, finite element analysis, and testing. The analyst performs detailed thermal analysis throughout product lifecycles, including design trade studies, proposals, qualification testing, and production support. Work ranges from classical hand calculations to detailed finite element analysis and must be technically sound, practical, and aligned with organizational objectives. The role includes planning and supporting tests, reducing test data, correlating thermal models, completing work to agreed cost and schedule, participating in peer reviews, presenting analyses, and documenting and archiving results.
