About The Position
Vibra Hospital of SE Michigan - Taylor Campus is a 40-bed critical care hospital in Taylor, Michigan, providing acute care to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. The hospital treats medically complex conditions including trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. It describes its work environment as fast-paced and friendly, with opportunities to get to know patients and their families. The Therapy Tech performs routine rehabilitation procedures within a program established by a licensed therapist. The role supports patients in maintaining an optimal functional level and assists with carrying out treatment plans by transporting, preparing, and positioning patients and otherwise assisting patients and therapists. The position is listed as full time and also states 30 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor within three months of hire.
- Ability to project a professional image.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
- Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in rehabilitative techniques and procedures.
- One year of healthcare experience.
- Exercise certification and/or related education.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine rehabilitation procedures within a designated program set up by a licensed therapist.
- Help patients maintain an optimal functional level.
- Transport, prepare, and position patients, and assist patients and therapists in completing treatment plans.
