About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Therapy Aide for its outpatient facility in Plano, Texas. The role supports the clinic’s lymphedema and oncology team with administrative tasks, scheduling and wait-list management, and patient care in collaboration with licensed clinicians. The aide joins a large multidisciplinary team of PTs, OTs, SLPs, Patient Service Specialists, and Therapy Aides, including a team of four techs. The position is 40 hours per week, with a starting rate of $18 per hour.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of hire.
• Excellent communication skills to work with a large team.
• Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and an effective team player.
• Ability to work hard and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly, energetic, adaptable, able to multitask, and eager to learn and contribute to a positive team.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of hospital experience as a therapy aide.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with direct patient care, including transferring and toileting patients.
• Support the clinic’s lymphedema and oncology team with administrative tasks, scheduling, and wait-list management.
• Clean for infection control and perform light equipment maintenance.
• Drive routes to transport patients to and from the clinic.
• Assist the front desk with light clerical tasks.
• Set up patients for therapeutic activities.
• Facilitate exercise groups.
• Work with patients under therapists’ direction to support comprehensive rehabilitation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
