About The Position

Orthopedic Centers of Colorado is seeking a full-time Therapy Aide to assist our Physical Therapists in an outpatient Orthopedic clinic. This role is responsible for ensuring timely start of therapy sessions and clinic flow to guarantee patients receive their full treatment. Duties include scheduling appointments, preparing charts, understanding basic insurance requirements, checking patients in, explaining financial obligations, and collecting co-pays and balances. The position requires the use of Electronic Medical Records, specifically Clinicient (therapy software) and Allscripts. Maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and empathy is crucial for excellent customer service. The role also involves supply management, folding linens, and cleaning/packaging sterile instruments. Adherence to all rules and regulations is necessary for compliance and safety, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The ability to take initiative, follow verbal instructions, and problem-solve in a fast-paced setting is important. Modalities will be administered per therapist guidance.

Requirements

  • Constant viewing of computer monitor, mousing and typing
  • Frequent standing, walking and sitting
  • Frequent stooping, lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling 10 pounds or more
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in Occupational Therapy and/or prior medical experience preferred
  • Some travel to other clinics may be required

Responsibilities

  • Provides assistance to Physical Therapists in an outpatient Orthopedic clinic
