About The Position

Banner Rehabilitation Hospital in partnership with Select Medical is hiring a Therapy Aide in Phoenix for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The hospital provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Therapy Aide performs patient-related tasks assigned by a therapist and helps prepare patients and equipment for therapy sessions. The position is full-time, with compensation of $17.57–$23.65 per hour.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Certified BLS, or completion of BLS within the first 90 days of employment, required.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of hospital experience as a therapy aide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient-related tasks assigned by a therapist.
• Lift patients to and from mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs, and other equipment appropriate to the facility or department.
• Assist patients with transfers to all surfaces.
• Assist patients with donning and doffing appliances specific to the facility or department.
• Position patients in parallel bars and prepare them for standing with appropriate orthotic or prosthetic devices and equipment.
• Transport patients to and from therapy as needed.
• Assist the therapist with other patient-related treatment activities as appropriate and provide equipment.
• Assist with patient-related activities, including equipment setup and patient positioning in preparation for therapy sessions as outlined in the State Practice.
