About The Position

Denver Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring an inpatient Therapist for its Help For Heroes program. The role involves supporting patients with mental health challenges through psychosocial assessment, treatment planning, counseling, care coordination, and advocacy. Lived experience serving, working with, or belonging to the target population is required; examples include military veterans, former law enforcement professionals, or people with extensive knowledge of the population and demonstrated cultural competence. Veteran status is not required. The position is scheduled for days. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to external applicants who commit to 24 months. The application deadline is December 25, 2026. The stated hourly rate range is $32.19–$43.46.

Requirements

Current state LMSW or LCSW license.
Master’s degree from an accredited school.
Lived experience serving, working with, or belonging to the target population, or extensive knowledge of the population and demonstrated cultural competence. Veteran status is not required.
Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
ACLS and PALS certifications within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience preferred.
ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess patients’ psychosocial needs and understand their emotional, psychological, and social situations.
Develop treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Provide counseling and support to patients and families facing mental health challenges.
Connect patients with community resources and services, such as support groups and housing assistance.
Advocate for patients’ rights and help ensure equitable care within the healthcare system.
