About The Position

This posting is for an applicant pool for affiliate faculty positions within the Theatre Technology and Design Program at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver). These are temporary, part-time, non-tenure track academic positions that vary from semester to semester based on program needs. Requirements

A Bachelor of Arts in Theatre or a related field, plus 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre or a related field, plus 4 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

A Master of Fine Arts in Theatre or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience; OR a Master of Arts Degree in Theatre, plus 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Doctorate in Theatre or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Teaching assigned classes primarily in-person, delivering course content to students.
Preparing course materials and lesson plans.
Grading student work and providing timely, robust feedback.
Addressing student questions in accordance with university, college, and department policies.
Providing online or in-person academic support to students as needed.
Providing instruction consistent with the regular course syllabus and department coordination policies.
Complying with university-wide student evaluation of instruction and peer observation policies.
Adapting and learning new modes of instruction.
Being sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
