About The Position

This posting is for an applicant pool for affiliate faculty in Educational Technology. These are temporary, part-time, non-tenure track academic positions. The number of positions varies by semester based on program needs. Screening occurs when positions become available, and not all applicants will be contacted or selected to teach. This position is within the Department of Secondary, K-12, Educational Technology at MSU Denver, seeking part-time affiliate faculty. Requirements

  • Master's degree

Nice To Haves

  • ABD or completed Doctorate in Educational Technology, Instructional Design & Technology, or related fields
  • K-12 teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Teach 1-9 credit hours per semester.
  • Be available for consultation with students.
  • Teach undergraduate educational technology classes for P-12 teacher licensure programs.
  • Prepare pre-service teachers for the use and application of educational technology in classrooms.
  • Potentially teach online classes.
  • Potentially supervise internships for undergraduate/post-baccalaureate Instructional Design and Technology programs.
  • Deliver course content to students in assigned classes (in person or online).
  • Prepare course materials and lesson plans.
  • Grade student work.
  • Provide students with robust feedback in a timely manner.
  • Address student questions consistent with university, college/school, and department policies.
  • Provide online or in-person academic support to students as needed.
  • Provide instruction consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus.
  • Comply with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
  • Adapt and learn new modes of instruction.
  • Be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse student population.
