About The Position

Study Smart is hiring a part-time Theater Arts Mentor to support students in grades 9–12 in Fontana, California. The mentor will teach Theater Arts and provide support to students individually and in small and large groups. Mentors will have access to information about class assignments and will work with Study Smart staff and the Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies. The role requires in-person availability and is scheduled for Fridays from 12:30 PM to 1:20 PM.

Requirements

• Completed four-year degree.
• In-person availability is required.
• Complete and pass a background check, which may include fingerprinting based on location.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts preferred.
• Teaching or tutoring experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Teach Theater Arts to students in grades 9–12.
• Provide mentoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Use information about students’ class assignments to support their learning.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff.
• Partner with Study Smart’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to students.
