About The Position

The Territory Service/Merchandising Representative services Novo Building Products in Lowe’s stores across Yorktown, Yonkers, Nanuet, and Orangeburg, New York. The role involves maintaining and replenishing products such as lumber, moulding, and millwork, managing inventory and stock levels, processing returns and credits, and helping keep product displays and point-of-purchase materials in good condition. The representative also builds relationships with store personnel, trains them on company products and services, responds to customer concerns, identifies product and market opportunities, and may support store resets and special events. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position requires travel to assigned stores and may require travel to additional stores or overnight travel. Stock replenishment orders must be completed within 48 hours of delivery to the store. Compensation is $23 per hour, with a $2,000 new-hire sign-on bonus paid in four installments, a $380 monthly car allowance, mileage reimbursement, and potential quarterly and annual bonuses. Travel expenses are covered according to the corporate travel policy.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Proof of current auto insurance.
Solid organizational and time-management skills.
Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Selling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Ability to demonstrate courtesy, diplomacy, and tact, and to foster relationships based on integrity and professionalism.
Ability to travel daily or overnight to service stores and drive to and from stores.
Ability to meet the stated physical demands, including standing and walking, bending or twisting, lifting, and pushing or pulling wheeled equipment.

Responsibilities

Travel to assigned stores on a regular, predetermined call schedule and service those stores; additional store travel may be required.
Build and maintain relationships with store personnel, including store management, red vest associates, and MST personnel.
Maintain accurate inventory through focus and cycle count adjustments and by notifying customers of necessary changes when appropriate.
Maintain the appearance of company products by cleaning, culling, placing suggested orders, preparing returns and credits, and keeping point-of-purchase materials current and in place.
Train store personnel on the company’s products and services.
Analyze performance, product mix, market conditions, and new product opportunities, and recommend changes when appropriate.
Facilitate store reset activity with the NHC Store Planning Team as required.
Participate in special events such as grand openings, contractor nights, product knowledge training, and company meetings.
Stock assigned replenishment orders within 48 hours of delivery to the store and stock additional stores as needed.
Manage expenses according to corporate policies and procedures.
Represent the company with high standards of conduct, professionalism, courtesy, ethics, and a can-do attitude.
