Interested in joining us on our journey? We are seeking a driven Territory Sales Representative to accelerate business growth in the HVAC/R and Plumbing Wholesale Distribution sector. In this role, you will promote our industry-leading engineered solutions to contractors, engineering firms, distributors, and developers. You’ll be instrumental in building relationships, generating demand, and expanding our presence in key markets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience, preferably in HVAC/R, Plumbing, or related mechanical/piping markets.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical systems.
  • Ability to navigate diverse customer environments.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), CRM tools, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Competitive, results-driven, persistent problem-solver with a customer-focused approach.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time (actual travel may vary).
  • Demonstrated ability to build long-term rapport with contractors, engineers, and distributors.

  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
  • Post-secondary education (college or university) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, specifiers, engineers, developers, and distributors.
  • Promote our full portfolio of products and solutions to drive sales, revenue, and margin growth.
  • Execute and achieve territory-specific sales plans and performance targets.
  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and competitive trends.
  • Collaborate with management to develop strategic plans, sales goals, and territory forecasts.
  • Pursue new business opportunities to expand market share within the territory.
  • Identify, track, and pursue construction, retrofit, and expansion projects across residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.
  • Lead presentations, job site visits, trade shows, and training sessions to communicate our value proposition.
  • Design and implement customer-specific programs and marketing strategies to drive profitable sales.
  • Strengthen distributor relationships to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including product management, inside sales, and customer support.
  • Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain trust and credibility.
  • Manage quotes to meet customer needs and market expectations.
  • Advise on product specifications and support pricing strategies.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and communicate training needs to management.
  • Track sales metrics using CRM and reporting tools.
  • Provide regular updates on sales activity, market intelligence, and project pipelines.
  • Submit progress summaries and expense reports as required.
  • Deliver product training and presentations that clearly communicate the GE Appliances Air & Water value proposition.
