Summary – basic function of the role Responsible for developing end user business opportunities to grow sales in accordance with Enerpac brand and business guidelines and channel policies. Work with Sales Operations and Distribution Account Managers achieve annual growth targets. Work both individually and with a team to provide technical sales solutions in high pressure hydraulics.

Requirements

  • Strong account management skills.
  • Technically competent to understand applications as well as problem solver for customer’s issues.
  • Ability to probe, question, and gather specific information about the customer, his needs and track the information for short- and long-term projects.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university in business, engineering, or a similar field; or 3 years related experience in technical sales or account management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight.
  • Employee may have to lift tools up to 50 pounds in weight.
  • Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites.
  • Employee may move themselves in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
  • Employee will need to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another.
  • Employee will need to operate machinery and/or power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment.
  • Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations.
  • Employee will need to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • Employee can work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time.
  • Will have repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Responsibilities

  • Actively identify and secure new business through direct end user relationships, while leveraging the distribution network for order fulfillment.
  • Establish new clients through cold calling, research, and networking within the assigned territory.
  • Liaise with internal sales support and product specialist staff on equipment requirements, quotations, orders, or follow up to ensure customer’s needs are met.
  • Develop and implement account strategies for Enerpac to become or continue to be a preferred supplier.
  • Maintain end user account plans, log visit reports, and create and maintain opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Work closely with management to ensure company goals and objectives are being met within the territory.
  • Relay competitive information and new market or product requirements to grow the Enerpac line and maintain reputation as a leader in our field.
