About The Position

Central Transport is hiring a Terminal Manager to oversee terminal dock operations and lead a team of drivers and dock workers. The role includes managing freight loading and unloading, forklift traffic, and the picking and sortation of palletized freight. The Terminal Manager monitors dock production and facility Key Performance Indicator goals, maintains a safe and compliant work environment, ensures adherence to the company’s operational model, and supports a culture of excellent service and product quality for internal and external customers. The position requires flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase and an average workweek of 50 hours.

Nice To Haves

• Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dock operations at the terminal, including freight loading and unloading, forklift traffic, and proper picking and sortation of palletized freight.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain terminal staff.
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers and dock workers.
• Monitor dock production and ensure facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT and OSHA standards.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s operational model.
• Support a culture of excellence in product quality for internal and external customers.
