About The Position

The Tennis Retail Attendant provides casual, friendly service while maintaining a high level of professionalism in the Tennis Pro Shop. With assistance from managers and supervisors, the attendant responds to guests’ needs with accurate, informative service. The role includes operating point-of-sale and reservation systems and assisting guests in person and by telephone.

The attendant works behind the check-in counter, completes sales transactions and reservations, and helps with purchasing, receiving, pricing, stocking, and inventory of tennis merchandise and equipment. The position requires on-site work and a flexible schedule that includes mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate required.
• Good to excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must have a flexible schedule to work mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for the entirety of the shift while reaching, bending, and stooping.
• Must be able to work on-site due to the daily needs of the job.

Nice To Haves

• Computer and point-of-sale experience preferred.
• Basic retail experience recommended.
• Management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete sales transactions and reservations for instructional programs and special events while providing gracious customer service.
• Assist the Manager-Buyer with purchasing, receiving, pricing, and stocking tennis merchandise and equipment using Dataworks.
• Greet and welcome guests and help ensure they feel welcome.
• Use Micros for sales transactions and Open Activity for reservations of court times, events, and instructional programs.
• Complete daily opening and closing checklists for the Tennis Pro Shop.
• Maintain an organized, neat workspace, including computerized court sheets and the upkeep of the pro shop.
• Assist with quarterly inventory using Dataworks.
• Help maintain adequate inventory and par levels for high-turnover items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
