About The Position

The Temporary Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Responsibilities include assisting with purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising and recovery standards, and supporting store safety and shrink-reduction goals. The role also includes providing and receiving constructive feedback, following labor laws and company policies, and performing other duties as assigned.

The position is at Marshalls Store 1568 in Lowville, New York. Starting pay is $16.00 to $16.50 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. The role is temporary and requires schedule flexibility to support business needs. Some benefits are available to all associates, while others depend on meeting service or hours requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Cross-train and work in multiple store areas as needed to support business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
