About The Position

The Temporary Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, safety, labor, and store recovery standards. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position is located at Marshalls Store 1326, 911 Coshocton Rd, Mount Vernon, Ohio. Starting pay is $13.50 to $14.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor accurately, following company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
