About The Position

The Temporary Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, labor, and safety standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes customer transactions, merchandise processing and presentation, store recovery, and participation in shrink-reduction programs.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
