About The Position

The Temporary Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience through engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Duties also include operating the register, promoting credit and loyalty programs, preparing merchandise for the sales floor, store recovery, and supporting safety and shrink-reduction efforts.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
