About The Position
New Mexico State University is hiring a Temporary Facilities Technician in Auxiliary Services in Las Cruces. This temporary appointment has a predetermined end date not to exceed one year and may end earlier if necessary. Temporary employees have no entitlement or expectation of continued employment during or beyond the appointment period. The position may average up to 29 hours per week and is contingent upon funding. The role is non-exempt and is not part of the AFSCME bargaining unit.
Requirements
- One year of experience related to the standard duties outlined for the position.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be accepted as approved by Human Resource Services.
Responsibilities
- Triage work order requests at the direction of the Auxiliary Facility Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform routine maintenance actions, such as changing lightbulbs.
