About The Position

This temporary role is responsible for on-site water and wastewater management to keep trailers, restrooms, and food service operational at SpaceX’s Starbase. The technician pumps out black-water tanks, fills potable-water tanks, and operates a dedicated water and wastewater truck. The role also involves monitoring tank levels and arranging service to prevent potable-water shortages and holding-tank overflows.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• At least 2 years of professional experience hauling water and wastewater.
• Class B CDL with Tank Endorsement.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work all required hours, weekends, and off-shifts with minimal notice.
• Ability to travel to other SpaceX sites as needed.
• Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.; lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are required to perform the functions of the position.
• Must meet the stated U.S. Government export authorization requirements.

Nice To Haves

• At least 5 years of professional driving experience.
• Professional experience hauling wastewater.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Water-wastewater hauling background.
• Experience servicing waste tanks and wastewater systems.

Responsibilities

• Pump out black-water tanks from office trailers, restroom trailers, and Airstreams using a specialized vacuum/pump truck.
• Fill potable-water tanks on Airstreams, restroom trailers, food trucks, and mess-hall tanks.
• Drive and operate a dedicated water/wastewater truck, connecting and disconnecting hoses for each fill or pump-out cycle.
• Regularly check tank levels and schedule service to prevent running out of potable water or overflowing holding tanks.
