Temporary Facilities Maintenance Person
About The Position
EastView at Middlebury, a nonprofit senior living community, is seeking a dependable, hands-on Seasonal General Maintenance Worker to assist the Facilities team with indoor and outdoor projects. This full-time, temporary assignment is expected to last approximately one to three months and end January 1, 2027. The role involves painting and touch-ups, cleaning and organizing facilities, seasonal grounds work, basic maintenance and repairs, moving materials, and assisting with special projects. The worker must use tools, equipment, and cleaning products safely, report concerns promptly, and work courteously around residents, visitors, and staff. The position may require physical tasks and outdoor work in changing weather, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
Requirements
- Valid, clean driver’s license.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- Able to perform physical tasks and work outdoors in changing weather, with reasonable accommodations as applicable.
- Strong attention to safety and quality of work, and respect for residents.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with painting, cleaning, landscaping, or general maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and paint interior surfaces, including touch-ups and cleanup.
- Clean, organize, and maintain common areas, workspaces, and facilities.
- Perform landscaping, grounds cleanup, leaf and debris removal, and other seasonal outdoor work.
- Assist with general maintenance, basic repairs, moving materials, and special projects.
- Use tools, equipment, and cleaning products safely and report concerns promptly.
- Work courteously and respectfully around residents, visitors, and staff.
