About The Position

Lesley University is seeking a full-time, nine-month Temporary Core Faculty of Psychology+ to join the undergraduate Psychology+ department. The successful candidate will serve as a dynamic and dedicated educator with expertise in holistic psychology, including the use of mindfulness and yoga-based practices in mental health and healing. The Temporary Core Faculty member will teach a variety of undergraduate Psychology courses, including but not limited to the Internship course sequence, Cross-Cultural Psychology, and Theories of Personality. In addition to teaching responsibilities, this position involves providing proactive and holistic academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate students. The Temporary Core Faculty member will support students in developing their academic plans and professional goals, with particular attention to pathways that emphasize integrative and alternative approaches to mental health. The faculty member will also contribute to the broader academic community through participation in departmental meetings, service on university committees, and engagement in scholarly and/or creative activities that advance knowledge within their area of expertise.

Requirements

  • A PhD or terminal degree in Psychology, or a closely related field (required).
  • Proven experience teaching at the undergraduate level, with a student-centric pedagogical approach that places an emphasis on experiential learning.
  • Evidence of scholarly engagement, including publications, presentations, or other professional contributions in Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and to foster an inclusive, equitable, and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities
