William James College announces an opening for a full-time Core Faculty position in the Doctoral Clinical Psychology Department beginning on August 4, 2026. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and the benefits are highly competitive. The minimum starting salary for this academic position is $90,000 and is consistent with the department’s salary equity considerations for incoming faculty. Requirements

  • PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology.
  • Completed an APA-accredited internship.
  • Teaching experience.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Massachusetts.
  • Maintain some involvement in clinical practice or consultation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable educational and workplace environment.
  • Willing to contribute to the core values of the college.
  • Available to teach in-person classes and participate in on-campus activities.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and be able to perform the essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching, advising, and research supervision.
  • Committee work and scholarly productivity.
  • Teach generalist courses in the Clinical Psy.D. program.
  • Teach specialized courses depending on relevant expertise.
  • Supervise dissertations in their specific area of expertise.
