About The Position
The Stylist serves as a trusted and knowledgeable advisor, helping customers select products suited to their aesthetic and lifestyle. The Stylist works with customers to discover and express their personal style and shows them how Kate Spade products can be incorporated into their existing wardrobe. The role involves welcoming customers, understanding their needs, providing styling advice, recommending complementary products, and guiding them through purchase decisions. It also supports sales results and operational excellence, including product knowledge, stockroom organization, and POS transactions. The schedule must be flexible to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, busy season, and high-traffic retail days such as public holidays.
Requirements
- Professional selling skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate in a team setting.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency or proficiency in the local language, as applicable to the market.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, busy season, and high-traffic retail days, including public holidays.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
- Listen actively and ask follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
- Provide styling advice, suggest add-ons, and create complete looks.
- Show creative ways to wear products and encourage customers to explore new styles.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and provide a seamless checkout experience.
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices and invite customers to return.
- Drive results through customer connections and storytelling.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and product attributes across categories.
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and POS transactions.
- Give and receive feedback in an honest, constructive manner.
