About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a part-time Teller for its National Branch Network, based at 1373 Route 27, Somerset, New Jersey. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. Tellers process transactions accurately, provide a welcoming and reliable experience, and serve as a primary point of contact for branch customers. The Teller learns about customers’ needs and introduces relevant products, services, and digital tools at a high level, connecting customers with a banker for detailed product conversations. The role works closely with branch teammates to support smooth daily operations and a consistent customer experience. Wells Fargo describes this as an entry point to retail banking, with training, coaching, and opportunities for career growth. The work schedule will include Saturdays. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. The posted base pay range is $22.00–$27.50; pay may vary based on factors including performance, skills, experience, and work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentives.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to convenient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and listen actively to understand customers’ everyday financial needs.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, using sound judgment and managing risk in line with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly, ask questions to clarify customer needs, and provide straightforward solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
Follow applicable Wells Fargo policies, procedures, controls, and risk and compliance requirements.
