About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network in a customer-focused, front-line role. The Teller supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurately processes transactions, and provides a welcoming and reliable experience. Tellers are a primary point of contact for customers and represent the branch through attentive service, care, and attention to detail. The role builds foundational banking skills by helping Tellers understand customer needs and introduce relevant products, services, and digital tools. Tellers identify opportunities to support customers and connect them with bankers for detailed product conversations. They work with branch teammates to keep daily operations running smoothly and provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. The listed base pay range is $20.00–$26.00; pay may vary based on factors such as performance, skills, experience, and work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.

Responsibilities

Accurately process transactions and engage customers with care to deliver a positive, reliable branch experience.
Process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or an appropriate team member.
Build relationships, listen actively to understand everyday financial needs, and connect customers with relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Clarify customer needs and provide clear, simple solutions or next steps using strong communication and active listening skills.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
