About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a part-time Teller to join its National Branch Network in Springfield, Virginia. This customer-focused, front-line role supports everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurate transaction processing, and welcoming, reliable service. Tellers are a primary point of contact for customers and represent the branch through attentive service, accuracy, and care. The Teller builds foundational banking skills by learning about customers’ needs and introducing helpful products, services, and digital tools. The role identifies opportunities to support customers and connects them with a banker for detailed product conversations. Tellers work closely with branch teammates to support daily operations and provide a consistent customer experience. The position offers exposure to retail banking and potential career growth supported by Wells Fargo training, coaching, and a team-based culture.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to appropriate banking channels, digital tools, self-service options, or team members.
Build customer relationships, listen to understand everyday financial needs, and connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately while exercising sound judgment and managing risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly and use active listening to clarify customer needs and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
Follow applicable Wells Fargo policies, procedures, and risk and compliance requirements; escalate and remediate issues as appropriate.
