About The Position

The Software Developer provides software development support to Life Cycle Engineering’s National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) customer. The role develops, creates, maintains, and modifies computer applications, software, and specialized utility programs, including the SWAP tool. It includes establishing and maintaining the development environment; database and web application design, development, and maintenance; and administration of the web and portal development environment. The developer delivers and sustains tool features identified during program increment-planning events and supports software assurance through automated security testing, pipeline integration, evaluation of commercial products, and development of policies and guidance. The position analyzes user needs and software requirements, assesses design feasibility within time and cost constraints, and applies coding, testing, documentation, and code-review standards. It incorporates security throughout requirements, development, operation, and end-of-life stages; identifies and mitigates software vulnerabilities; and consults with engineering staff on hardware-software interfaces. The role requires U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance. The posting describes regular physical activity, including walking, climbing, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, standing, occasional prolonged sitting, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
