About The Position

A MyPoint Teller plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and supporting the financial well‑being of our members. As the first point of contact in the branch, the Teller provides accurate, efficient transaction processing and builds trusting relationships by offering friendly, knowledgeable assistance. This position helps uphold the credit union’s mission of providing member‑focused service, promoting financial wellness, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, compliance, and security.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Able to pass background check
  • Must be comfortable in a sales driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional member service by greeting members, answering questions, and responding to inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assist members with transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and transfers.
  • Educate members on credit union products, services, and digital banking tools.
  • Accurately process all financial transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
  • Verify cash amounts, endorsements, identification, and account information to ensure proper processing.
  • Detect, prevent, and report suspicious or fraudulent activity following credit union policies.
  • Assist members with updating member information, and processing address or name changes.
  • Provide information about account balances, fees, and transaction history within authorized guidelines.
  • Help members troubleshoot debit cards, online banking access, and mobile app issues.
  • Follow all credit union compliance standards including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti‑Money Laundering (AML), and identity verification procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member information and adhere to credit union policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support branch security procedures and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Assist with daily branch operations including ATM balancing, vault access, and end‑of‑day settlement.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.
  • Support branch goals by promoting credit union services and referring members to appropriate departments.
  • Identify member needs and refer them to loan officers or member service specialists when appropriate.
  • Promote financial wellness tools, credit union benefits, and community initiatives.
  • Will provide teller duties and customer service to our members.
  • Will exercise attention to detail and sell or refer credit union services and products to our members.
