About The Position

As a Teller at Santander, you assist customers with financial needs and process banking transactions. You provide exceptional customer service, resolve concerns, minimize risk, help defend against fraud, identify product solutions, and escalate complex issues for timely resolution. The role may also support nearby branch locations based on business necessity. The position requires working branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings. Frequent minimal physical effort, such as sitting, standing, and walking, is required. Depending on the location, occasional moving and lifting of light equipment and/or furniture may be required.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 6 months of cash-handling experience.
At least 6 months of demonstrated customer service experience.
Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others.
Ability to identify and escalate risk concerns to appropriate channels.
Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures.
Effective listening and communication skills.
Comfort using digital tools and technology to enhance customer engagement.
Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Computer proficiency and basic math skills.
Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship to commence employment.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers, minimize wait times, and assist with their banking needs.
Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and other transactions.

Identify opportunities to cross-sell bank products and deepen customer relationships.

Assist with custodianship, audits, and other operational tasks.
