About The Position

The Teller provides in-person client service at a KeyBank branch, welcoming new and existing clients and assisting with account transactions and servicing needs. The role identifies and resolves client servicing issues, listens for financial wellness needs, and connects clients with a Banker for deeper financial conversations. Tellers help clients work toward financial goals using financial wellness tools, maintain current knowledge of products, fees, and policies, and conduct transactions in accordance with compliance, audit, and security procedures. The position is part-time for 30 hours, includes Saturday work as directed by management, and may involve other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience.
• Experience in a client service role.
• Experience handling cash.
• General understanding of PCs, Windows-based applications, and calculators.
• Knowledge of client accounts and sound judgment when handling client interactions and transactions.
• Strong sales and service skills, including presenting products and services and educating clients about available access channels.
• Strong work ethic, high integrity, and excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to process cash transactions accurately and securely, maintain organized records, and balance cash drawers.
• Ability to identify and resolve client servicing issues and follow banking regulations and security procedures.
• Ability to recognize client financial needs and promote relevant banking products and services.
• Awareness of techniques to detect and prevent fraud.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
• Ability to occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of prolonged standing, frequent hand use and forward reaching, occasional bending and lifting, and communicating with clients face to face and by phone.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and strong client experience to clients and teammates.
• Accurately and efficiently perform teller functions in an in-person branch setting.
• Identify and resolve client servicing issues, escalating them as needed.
• Listen for financial wellness opportunities and transition clients to a Banker when appropriate.
• Assist clients with financial goals and objectives using financial wellness tools.
• Attend in-person morning huddles and end-of-day debriefs.
• Follow compliance, audit, and security procedures and balance the cash drawer within established guidelines.
• Review and maintain knowledge of product guides, fees, policies, and current offerings.
• Work on Saturdays as directed by management.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with KeyBank policies and procedures.
