About The Position

The Teller receives deposits, cashes checks, processes withdrawals and loan payments, and records transactions in the computer system. The role provides outstanding customer service, explains financial services, assists with account opening, and performs related branch duties. The schedule is 3–4 days a week, including some Saturdays. Travel to other branches to assist with staffing may be required.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Enthusiastic, positive, outgoing personality.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cash handling or teller experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements, and record deposits in computer records.
• Cash checks and process withdrawals after verifying signatures and customer balances.
• Promote and explain financial institution services, including CDs, safe deposit boxes, traveler’s checks, and money orders.
• Receive mortgage, consumer loan, and other payments; verify amounts due, enter payments, and generate receipts.
• Count, check, and package coins and currency.
• Keep teller stations stocked with forms and supplies.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
• Pursue personal development of the skills and knowledge necessary for the position.
• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist with account opening procedures.
• Pin ATM/debit cards.
• Document and file items into Synergy.
• Travel to other branches to assist with staffing when required.
• Perform other similar or related duties as necessary and other duties as assigned.
